Therapy for Veterans, Service Members & Military Spouses
You Have Carried the Mission. You Do Not Have to Carry Everything Alone.
Military service can shape how you understand strength, responsibility, trust, relationships, and yourself. Even after a deployment or military career ends, some experiences remain difficult to set down.
All Things New Clinical Services provides individual telehealth therapy for veterans, service members, and military spouses. We offer a grounded, respectful place to talk about the experiences other people may not always understand.
You May Be Here Because…
-
You remain alert even when there is no immediate threat.
-
You feel irritable, disconnected, anxious, discouraged, or emotionally exhausted.
-
Sleep is difficult, or memories and experiences from the past continue to affect you.
-
You are adjusting to civilian life and are unsure where you fit now.
-
You are grieving the loss of a person, career, identity, ability, or sense of purpose.
-
Experiences during your service continue to conflict with your values or affect how you see yourself.
-
Stress is affecting your work, relationships, health, or ability to be present.
-
You are accustomed to being the strong one but are tired of carrying everything by yourself.
-
You are a military spouse managing worry, caregiving responsibilities, separation, transition, or the effects of military life on your own well-being.
-
You do not have to wait until you are in crisis to ask for support.
Care That Respects Military and Cultural Context
Military culture often emphasizes readiness, endurance, responsibility, and completing the mission. Those qualities can be important strengths. They can also make it difficult to acknowledge when something is not working or when you need support.
Therapy is not about taking away your strength. It can help you understand how your experiences have affected you, decide what you want to carry forward, and develop tools that work in your current life.
We also recognize that there is no single military experience. We will not make assumptions about you based on your branch, rank, deployment history, combat experience, discharge status, race, gender, faith, or family role. We begin by listening to your story.
Making Room for the Experiences of Black Veterans
Military service does not erase race or the realities of navigating the world as a Black person.
Black veterans and service members may carry the combined weight of military expectations, racism, code-switching, pressure to remain composed, and the feeling that they must work harder to be recognized or understood. Some may feel deeply proud of their service while also holding complicated feelings about experiences that occurred during or after it.
As a Black-owned, clinician-led practice, ATNC provides room to explore these experiences without requiring you to minimize, defend, or translate them. Our focus on Black mental health does not exclude people of other backgrounds. Veterans, service members, and military spouses of every racial and cultural background are welcome.
Support for Military and Veteran Spouses
Military and veteran spouses carry experiences of their own. You may be managing deployment-related stress, frequent transitions, caregiving responsibilities, changes in your partner, uncertainty about the future, or the pressure to hold the family together.
ATNC provides individual therapy for adult spouses. You may use individual therapy to explore relationship concerns, communication patterns, boundaries, caregiving stress, resentment, grief, or decisions about your future.
We do not provide couples or marriage therapy. When couples therapy is needed, we can offer referrals to trusted colleagues when appropriate.
Meet Jamar K. Moore, LCPC
Jamar K. Moore is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, U.S. Navy veteran, and clinician certified in EMDR.
Jamar has a particular commitment to working with veterans and Black men who may be carrying stress that other people do not see. His approach is grounded, practical, collaborative, and focused on helping clients develop tools they can use beyond the therapy session.
His military experience informs his care, but it does not lead him to assume that he already knows your story. Your experience, needs, and treatment goals remain at the center of therapy.

Trauma-Informed Therapy and EMDR
ATNC provides trauma-informed therapy for adults. When clinically appropriate, EMDR may be considered as part of treatment for distressing memories, trauma-related symptoms, or experiences that continue to feel emotionally present.
EMDR is not automatically used with every client. Treatment begins with an assessment, discussion of your goals, and preparation to determine what approach may be appropriate for you. Your clinician will explain the options and make treatment decisions collaboratively with you.
Beginning Therapy
The fastest way to request an appointment is through our secure online scheduling system. It displays our clinicians’ current availability so you can select an available day and time that works for you.
A consultation is optional. If you have focused questions before beginning therapy, you may schedule a 15-minute consultation for $30. Consultations are self-pay and are not billed to insurance.
If you are ready to begin therapy, you may skip the consultation and request a full initial therapy appointment.
ATNC accepts TRICARE and several other insurance plans. Insurance participation does not guarantee that a particular service will be covered. Benefits, eligibility, deductibles, copayments, authorization requirements, and other coverage terms depend on your individual plan.
Who We Serve
ATNC provides individual telehealth therapy for adults age 18 and older.
Clients must be physically located in a jurisdiction where their assigned clinician is legally authorized to practice at the time of every appointment. Most ATNC clinicians provide services to adults located in Maryland. Dr. Demarest Crawl is licensed in Maryland and Washington, DC, and may serve eligible adults physically located in either jurisdiction.
Clinician availability, licensing, clinical fit, and insurance participation vary.
Independent Practice Notice
All Things New Clinical Services is an independent private practice. ATNC is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, or any branch of the United States Armed Forces.
If You Need Immediate Help
