About Demarest Crawl, (LCSW-C, LICSW)

I’m Demarest Crawl (pronounced Dee-mair-rest) but you can call me Dee-Dee. I want to help you create the life you’ve always dreamed of. As a licensed therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Master of Social Work, Master of Arts in Communication) my goal is to empower you  and set you on the path to growth, healing, and well-being. While we can't change the difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve what you are currently facing in your life. At All Things New Clinical Services our passion is to see you heal.

My Offer

​My objective is to support you in uncovering your strengths and passions, help you heal from hurts, trauma, or emotional distress. I provide an accepting, safe, and non-judgmental place which will give you space to reflect your thoughts, reach insights, and develop goals for your journey into a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Do The Work

​Therapy really works. Scientific studies have shown over and over that behavioral and emotional interventions work just as well-- if not better, than medication to treat anxiety, depression, and mental health issues like OCD. As your therapist, I will partner with you to help you heal; but in order for therapy to work you “gotta’ work it.” True and lasting change comes from not just going to therapy, but from spending time practicing the new skills that you learn in therapy. 

 

Trust The Process

 Each time a client opens up and honors me with their story I am humbled and inspired. When I see someone start to heal from their painful experiences or disturbing thoughts, it is truly the most rewarding part of therapy. It may seem sometimes as if nothing is happening, but you must trust the process. Positive changes come with time.
